Accept online. The driver and bus are locked in, the trip sheet goes to the driver, and the office confirms the week of the trip.
Emergency or same-day? Call (973) 306-4838. Dispatch answers the phone and fills same-day requests whenever a bus is free.
Where we run
Our depot is in Little Falls, at the meeting point of Passaic, Essex, Bergen and Morris counties. Most of North Jersey is within half an hour of the yard, which is what makes early pickups and late returns practical.
Daily routes and trips cover nine counties: Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Morris, Hudson, Union, Sussex, Middlesex and Monmouth. Field trips and charters go wherever the group needs to be, including New York City and Pennsylvania.

Every bus passes New Jersey's school bus inspection twice a year and carries seat belts and the emergency equipment the state requires.

State Police and FBI fingerprint background clearance, random drug and alcohol testing, and a current DOT medical certificate for every driver.

School bus rental questions
Who can rent a school bus from NW Transport?
Public districts, charter schools, private academies, PTOs, day camps, colleges, churches, scout troops, employers and private groups. Schools and districts can book on a purchase order; other organizations pay before the trip date.
How far ahead should I book?
Two weeks is comfortable for most trips. Book a month ahead for May and June, when every school in the region is on the road, and for September and October weekends. Same-day requests are filled by phone whenever a bus is free.
Do you serve groups that are not schools?
Yes. Camps, churches, scout troops, employers, colleges and wedding parties book the same buses and drivers as our schools do. Our drivers hold the passenger endorsements New Jersey requires to carry riders of any age.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Yes, four. Trips are billed at $124 an hour with a 4-hour minimum. Each quote states the hours it covers, the pickup and return times, and the tolls and parking on the route, so there is nothing to work out afterwards.
Do the buses have seat belts?
Yes. Every bus carries seat belts and the emergency equipment New Jersey requires for school buses, and passes the state's school bus inspection twice a year.
Can we get a certificate of insurance?
Yes. A certificate of insurance, with your organization named as the certificate holder or additional insured where required, is issued on request along with driver and vehicle records for your business office.
