Shuttle buses for campuses, events and employers

Point-to-point runs and continuous loops with our own buses and drivers: campus-to-campus, graduation and parking-lot shuttles, employee shifts, conference and event transfers. NW Transport runs shuttle bus service across North Jersey by the hour or the day. Request online and a written quote comes back within one business day.

Based in Little Falls, NJ. Riders of any age; drivers hold passenger endorsements.

Shuttles we run

A shuttle is a schedule, not a trip. We build the loop, post the times and keep the bus on them.

Campus-to-campus

Students and staff between a main campus, an annex, a satellite site or a partner institution, on a fixed loop that repeats through the day.

Graduations and ceremonies

Overflow parking to the stadium, families from a remote lot to the field house, and the return loop after the last name is read.

Parking-lot and event shuttles

Festivals, fairs, tournaments, open houses and town events: a continuous loop between the lots and the gate for as long as the event runs.

Employee shuttles

Shift changes from a transit station or a remote lot to the plant, the warehouse or the office, daily or for a project, on the employer's clock.

Conference and hotel transfers

Attendees between hotels and a venue, morning and evening, with the schedule board at the door and a dispatcher managing the loop.

Houses of worship and municipalities

Congregation shuttles for services and events, senior center outings, and town programs that need a bus and a driver for the day.

The right bus for the loop

Shuttle buses are sized to the peak, the loop time and the lot. Tell us the rider count per hour and the stops.

How a shuttle is set up

Send the loop

Stops, hours, the rider count per hour and how often the bus should pass each stop. Online, or by email with a site map attached.

Get the written quote

Within one business day, by email, with the number of buses, the loop times, the hours covered and the terms. Hourly or daily, your choice.

Accept and run

Accept online. Drivers and buses are assigned, the loop sheet goes to the drivers, and dispatch manages the schedule on the day.

Daily and multi-day shuttles are quoted per run, with a notice period for changes written on the quote.

How a continuous loop works on the day

A loop shuttle is only as good as its schedule. Here is what a day looks like when we run one.

  • The loop sheet: every stop, the time the bus passes it and the headway between buses. We send it to you to post at each stop and at the venue door.
  • The first run: the driver walks the loop before riders arrive, checks the turnaround at each stop and reports the real loop time to dispatch.
  • Peak and off-peak: add a second bus for the arrival and departure peaks and drop to one between them. The quote shows both.
  • A contact on site: your event lead has the driver's and the dispatcher's numbers; a change to the loop goes through dispatch and reaches every driver at once.
  • The last run: the bus does a final sweep of every stop after the posted end time, so nobody is left in a remote lot.

Our drivers hold the passenger endorsements New Jersey requires to carry riders of any age, so students, employees, families and the public all ride. Schools and districts can book on a purchase order; other organizations pay before the shuttle date.

Shuttle service questions

Can adults and the public ride a school bus shuttle?

Yes. Our drivers hold the passenger endorsements New Jersey requires, and the buses are inspected for passenger service twice a year. Employees, families, conference attendees and the public ride our shuttles alongside students.

Do you charge by the hour or by the day?

Either. Short loops are quoted by the hour with the hours covered written on the quote; all-day events and daily employee shuttles are quoted by the day or per run. Ask for the one that fits your schedule and we quote it that way.

How many buses does my event need?

It depends on how many riders arrive in the peak hour and how long the loop takes. Send the expected crowd, the stops and the hours, and the quote shows the number of buses and the headway. A second bus at the peaks is the most common setup.

Can you run a daily employee shuttle?

Yes. Daily shuttles from a transit station or a remote lot to a worksite run on the employer's shift times, with a named driver and bus and a per-day price on the quote. Schedule changes go through dispatch.

Can the shuttle be wheelchair-accessible?

Yes. A lift-equipped bus can run the loop or alongside it, and a driver trained in securement handles boarding. Tell us the need on the request so the right bus is assigned.

What are the cancellation terms?

Cancel free of charge until 48 hours before pickup. Inside 48 hours, half the trip price applies; once the bus has arrived, the full price. Daily and multi-day shuttles set their notice period on the quote.
