From our Little Falls yard to Wayne

From Little Falls we reach the Route 46 and Route 23 corridors in minutes, with Alps Road, Valley Road and Hamburg Turnpike taking the bus to the schools on the township's west and north sides. I-80 at exit 53 and Route 23 to the state fairgrounds and the Sussex County farms make Wayne a convenient start for trips heading north and west, while Route 46 east puts the Parkway, Route 3 and the Lincoln Tunnel within reach for city trips.

On the day

Wayne's schools mostly have real bus loops, which makes loading quick, but several sit on winding residential roads where the township limits bus traffic to posted routes; our drivers run those routes daily and know them. The Willowbrook area is slow on weekday afternoons, so for return trips we route around Route 46 near the mall when the clock is tight. For lake-community schools and camps, tell us if the bus should wait on site or return at a set time; either is quoted.

What a school bus costs from Wayne

Trips are $124 an hour with a 4-hour minimum. Fuel, the driver, insurance and dispatch are included; tolls, parking and venue bus fees are passed through at cost and itemized on the quote. Most half-day trips from Wayne fit inside the minimum. Send the date, the group and the two addresses and the written quote, the exact number for your trip, comes back within one business day. Wayne questions

How far ahead should a Wayne school book a spring field trip?

Two weeks is comfortable most of the year; for May and June, when every school in the region is on the road, a month ahead keeps the choice of buses open. Same-day and next-day requests are welcome by phone, and we fill them when a bus is free.

Can you handle a whole grade from Wayne at once?

Yes. Multiple 54-passenger buses leave together, each with its own driver and trip sheet, and the lead driver coordinates arrival at the venue. Give us the head count including chaperones and we size the group.

Do you run summer camp routes in Wayne?

Yes, daily AM and PM camp routes and camp trips June through August, with the same driver all summer where the schedule allows, so campers and parents see a familiar face. Camp routes should be booked by May.
