From our Little Falls yard to Hoboken

From our Jersey City base, Observer Highway or Paterson Plank Road brings a bus into Hoboken in minutes; from Little Falls it is Route 3 to Route 495 and the Hoboken ramps, about 35 minutes outside the peaks. Willow Avenue, Clinton Street and Washington Street run the length of the city, and the driver follows the streets and stopping zones the city allows for buses. For trips, the Lincoln Tunnel is at the top of the hill for midtown Manhattan, the Holland Tunnel minutes south for downtown, and Route 3 leads to the Meadowlands and the rest of the state.

On the day

Hoboken's streets are narrow and parked to the corners, the city limits where buses may stop and stage, and most schools load from the curb, so the driver is given the exact loading point and the contact's cell and arrives in the loading window rather than early. For the smaller schools a 29-passenger bus turns where a full-size bus cannot. Tunnel approaches build from 2:00, so afternoon returns are timed with dismissal in mind, and the driver calls the contact if the tunnel is slow.

What a school bus costs from Hoboken

Hoboken questions

Do you run daily routes for Hoboken charter schools?

Yes. Daily AM and PM routes, late buses and mid-day runs for charter and independent schools, quoted per day or per season with the stops and times on the quote.

Can a full-size school bus get around Hoboken?

Yes, on the streets and stopping zones the city allows for buses, and our drivers follow them. Where a block is too tight, a 29-passenger bus does the job; tell us the school and the head count and we recommend the bus.

Who can book: only schools?

Anyone with a group. District, charter, independent and parochial schools, Stevens, churches and employers all book the same way. Schools book on a purchase order; other organizations pay 7 days before the trip date.

Tell us where Hoboken needs to be. We'll take it from there.
