NW Transport LLC ("NW Transport," "we," "us") provides school and charter bus transportation in New Jersey. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website (nwschoolbus.com), our driver recruiting site (drive4nw.com), our driver portal (drivers.nwschoolbus.com) and our text message program.
Information we collect
- Trip and quote requests: your name, school or organization, role, email address, phone number, pickup and destination addresses, trip dates and times, rider counts and any notes you add.
- Job applicants and employees: contact details and the licensing, qualification and employment information we need to hire and schedule drivers, bus aides and staff.
- Text messages: the mobile number you give us, a record of your consent to receive texts, and delivery records for the messages we send.
- Students: information that schools and districts share with us so we can transport their students, such as names, pickup locations and transportation needs.
- Website use: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected by our hosting, security and analytics services.
How we use it
- To prepare quotes, schedule and run trips and routes, and keep you informed about them.
- To send text messages to people who have agreed to receive them (see below).
- To recruit, hire, schedule and manage our drivers, bus aides and staff.
- To keep our services safe and secure, block spam and fraud, and improve our website.
- To meet our legal, safety, insurance and record-keeping obligations as a school transportation provider.
Text messages and your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Full details are in our SMS Terms & Conditions.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers that run parts of our business for us, such as website hosting and security, our database, email and text message delivery, mapping, analytics and vehicle GPS tracking. They may use it only to provide those services to us;
- with the school, district or organization that booked a trip or route, as needed to provide that service;
- when the law, a regulator or legal process requires it, or when it is needed to protect the safety of passengers, staff or the public.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to understand how visitors find and use our pages. Our hosting provider also counts visits without cookies and screens form submissions for spam. Address suggestions on the booking form come from Google Maps, so the address text you type there is sent to Google. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet New Jersey and federal record-keeping requirements for school transportation, then delete them or remove identifying details. We protect personal information with reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls on our internal systems.
Children
Our website and text messages are meant for adults: school and district staff, group organizers, parents and guardians, and our employees. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website. Student information that schools and districts share with us is used only to provide their transportation.
Your choices
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Ask to see, correct or delete your contact information by emailing office@nwschoolbus.com. We may need to keep some records where the law or our school contracts require it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
